چکیده
Background: The role of pro and anti-inflammatory cytokines in autoimmune inflammatory disorders has always been discussed; several studies have assayed serum levels Interleukin-6 (IL-6), Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α), Interleukin-10 (IL-10) alopecia areata (AA) patients. Determining the cytokine profile AA patients will help us understand immune system pathogenesis AA. Due to a lack comprehensive this regard, we performed meta-analysis evaluate previously mentioned Methods: We explored PubMed, Scopus, web science, ScienceDirect databases for research without limited start date until May 2021. A number 1098 were found initial database search reference lists relevant studies; 16 finally included meta-analysis. Differences IL-6, TNF-α, IL-10 sera controls pooled as standardized mean differences. random-effects model was used study. Begg's Egger's tests carried out investigate publication bias. Results: included. This study significantly elevated IL-6 compared healthy subjects (SMD = 1.57, 95% CI 0.17 2.97). TNF-α also higher 2.05, 0.98 3.13). Though lower patients, difference not significant -0.22, -0.95 0.50). Conclusion: According crucial autoimmunity, alternation unexpected; our shows that might an essential AA, though further are needed clarify exact emergence persistence

Clinical Significance of Serum TNF-a and IL-6 Levels in Patients with Metabolic Syndrome
Background: Several components of metabolic syndrome (MetS) facilitate its diagnosis, including abdominal obesity, hyperlipidemia, high blood pressure, and insulin resistance. The production of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and interleukin 6 (IL-6) seem to be associated with MetS components. The aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation between the serum levels...

Background: Selenium (Se) is part of the glutathione peroxidase enzyme complex (GSH-PX) that plays an important role in antioxidant mechanisms in body, also it has been demonstrated that populations with low Se intake have 2-3 times greater risk of ischemic heart disease. Objective: To determine the circulating levels of IL- 6, TNF-α, Cu, Zn, and Se in patients with chronic coronary artery dis...
متن کاملElevated Serum Levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in Patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Introduction: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is accompanied by abdominal pain and intestinal discomforts. A line of evidence shows that the immune system plays important roles in the pathogenesis of the disease. Two main cytokines directing the immune system are IL-6 and TNF-α which may play a role in the immunopathogenesis of this disease. The present study aimed at investigating the serum lev...
متن کاملSerum Levels of IL-10 and IL-22 Cytokines in Patients with Psoriasis
Background: As a chronic inflammatory condition, psoriasis results from an interaction between genetic and immunologic factors in a predisposing environment. In spite of compelling evidence for the role of T cells and cytokines in psoriasis, interleukin (IL)- 10 and IL-22 have not been sufficiently investigated. Objective: To assess the serum levels of IL-10 and IL-22 in patients with psori...
